Recently, Planet Flowline installed two completely different but well-equipped empty PET bottle stacking systems for Amcor's Gresford, North Wales, plant.
The first device incorporates the insert labeling function, which is specially designed for small-scale production and quick-change products. It replaces the traditional air-conveying system using belt conveyors, accumulators and side clamp lifts. Handle various types of unstable containers with or without neck rings. The vacuum head of the device grabs the bottle's mounting layer and places them on the pallet. The production line is fully automatic, requiring only a single person to operate, and the speed can reach 15,000 bottles/hour.
The second line installed by Planet is a highly flexible robot with a container holding system provided by the Italian manufacturer Zecchetti. The robot can load two rows of bottles to a set of fixed pallets designed by Zecchetti at one time. The bottles contained in polyethylene bags can also be transported using the equipment. The robot also automatically picks up and places layer mats and wood top frames, and the conveyor system also provided by Zecchetti automatically feeds the system with empty pallets.
