Composition and classification of ink

Ink is an important consumable for inkjet printers. It consists of solvents, colorants, antioxidants, viscosity modifiers, etc. It has the characteristics of moderate viscosity, high concentration, low molecular weight, good fluidity, and distinct print images.

The performance of the solvent directly affects the physicochemical properties of the ink, stability performance, print quality, printer speed, and performance. The colorant determines the color and the hue of the printed image, so the pigment required for the printing ink must meet the relevant requirements in terms of hue, mixability, solubility, acidity and alkalinity, particle size, and the like.

Inkjet printer ink can be divided into dye ink and pigment ink according to different colorants. Dyestuff ink dyes can form a stable and homogeneous system in molecular state and solvent, so the dye ink printing image resolution is high, the resolution is good, but the light resistance and water resistance are poor, and are mostly used in printed matters for printing indoor applications. The pigment in the pigment ink is dispersed in the ink in the form of particles. After printing, the pigment particles remain on the surface of the paper. The printed image has high color intensity and gloss, good light resistance and high temperature resistance, and can be exposed outdoors. However, pigment inks require high fineness of pigment particles.

How to identify ink quality

1) After a matchstick is soaked in ink, draw lines uninterruptedly on the paper. The finer the line is, the more lines are darker, the better the quality of the ink.

2) The actual print inspection method is the most direct and accurate inspection of the quality of the ink, and has the highest reliability.

1 Insert the ink as required into the empty cartridge (the cartridge electrode must be intact).

2 Ink cartridges with ink will be installed for ink jet printing and self-test print quality. If the self-test fails, you should immediately wash out the inappropriate ink or replace the ink.
3 Use the Chinese typesetting system to typeset, set various 0th font backgrounds and add grids.
4 LQ, HQ printing experiment, if there is no obvious lack of pen and broken phenomenon, then the ink quality is qualified.
