Small Can Packaging: Irresistible Curve Charm

Hershey Foods is using its latest product Swoops to change the way chocolate is eaten. These beautifully curved solid chocolate pieces deliver an intoxicating, melt-in-the-mouth experience. There are four classic Hershey flavor combinations: Hershey Milk Chocolate, Reese Peanut Butter, Almend Joy Candy, and York Mints.

Swoops is packed in small cans of 3.78 ounces. There are three moving cups with foil lids. Each cup holds 6 pieces of Swoops chocolate. The retail price of cans is roughly $1.99. Hershey's Swoops are available in 72-piece cans and contain all four flavors. There is also a club-oriented packaging and 96-piece test size packaging. Polypropylene cups are supplied by Caraustar, and Rampart, one of Printpack's subsidiaries, provides small cans with lids using Alcoa Flexible Packaging's Sure-Peel(R) patented adhesive release stripper. The extruded composite structure consisted of a base/1.5 mil foil/DuPont 7# Nucrel ethylene acid copolymer/1 mil patented proprietary film.

In fact, 9 out of 10 consumers tested said they were willing to purchase Hershey`s Swoops."
