High productivity printing process

Today's printing industry not only requires superior printing presses, but also requires a perfect process, that is, a solution for obtaining high-quality output and effective processes. A comprehensive and complex network can achieve this function. Manroland is the world's second largest manufacturer of printing systems and a leader in the field of web offset presses. In response to this need, Manroland introduced PrintNet, PECOM and Optimus software.

Manroland overcomes the shortcomings of the PrintNet solution. PrintNet is a software package that provides printing companies with open, complete solutions. Manroland's goal is to achieve a cohesive link between the various work steps, from the initial orders, computer-aided design products, production plans all the way to printing and finishing.

With PrintNet and PECOM, Manroland focuses on optimizing the technology of the printing process. PECOM is MAN Roland's own network product, connected with printing, prepress and management. PECOM's Managementlink is used to interface with the Optimus 2020 Business Plan functionality. Optimus 2020 can do budgets, make job tickets, manage materials, production operations plans, record costs, historical costs and analyze costs. The Optimus 2020 software can optimize the printing company's business and management process and is an integral part of Manroland's products. It takes full advantage of the coordination of the ppi and PECOM connections. Because Manroland has an open system structure, users can even use all modules developed by other manufacturers as long as they are compatible with the JDF format (job definition format). JDF is an Internet-compatible data format for exchanging information and is commonly used in the printing industry. With the JDF format, all computer-assisted processes can be integrated, regardless of the manufacturer. The JDF format was jointly developed by several giant companies in the industry.
