1. Simulated ultraviolet rays: The ultraviolet rays in sunlight are the main factors that cause the durability of most materials to be destroyed. In the experiment, we used an ultraviolet lamp to simulate the short-wave ultraviolet part of sunlight, which produced little visible or infrared spectral energy. We can choose UV lamps with different wavelengths according to different test requirements.
2. Temperature control: In each cycle, the temperature can be controlled at a set value. The temperature can be monitored by observation during the test. The increase in temperature can accelerate the aging process, and temperature control is more important for the reproducibility of the test.
3. Humid condensation environment: Studies have shown that the main factor causing this outdoor humidity is dew, not rain. Condensation function to simulate outdoor wet erosion. During the condensation cycle during the test, the water in the reservoir at the bottom of the test chamber is heated to generate hot steam, the sample is fixed on the side wall of the test chamber, and the test surface of the sample is exposed to the ambient air in the test chamber. The outward side of the sample is exposed to the natural environment, which results in a temperature difference between the inner and outer surfaces of the sample. This temperature difference causes the liquid water generated by condensation on the test surface of the sample throughout the condensation cycle.
4. Spray system: water spray can better simulate the environmental conditions of the final use. Water spraying is very effective in simulating thermal shock or mechanical erosion due to drastic temperature changes and rain erosion. Under certain practical application conditions, such as sunlight, when the accumulated heat is quickly dissipated due to a sudden shower, the temperature of the material will change sharply, resulting in thermal shock.
