Belland Vision of Pegnity, Germany, introduced a new plastic, a water-soluble polymer made from styrene and two monomers containing free hydroxyl groups, which are claimed to be as economical and easy to recycle as paper and cardboard.
Belland Vision has started trials of new materials for a variety of containers. Recycling materials can also be used as intermediate adhesive layers for various labels, protective films, bags and composite products. The company invested 150 million euros in the development of this new material and related recycling technology.
