European developed PET blended gold barrier technology

This technology is an attempt to increase barrier properties and reduce costs. It has attracted the attention of many companies and it has been reported that a number of beer bottles have been tested and tested in Europe.

· British Shell developed a 10% PEN (Hiperfaf-8910) and 90% PET blend. The shelf life of beer is said to be about 2 times longer than that of PET.

Superex Polymers developed a blend of 4.5% liquid crystal polymer LCP and 95.5% PET, and a PET bottle with a volume of 400ml. The oxygen transmission rate can be reduced by 70%. The oxygen barrier property of LCP is 200 times that of PET, and it is not affected by the humidity of the environment. Its main problem is that it is not easy to form and process.

· Nanocar Corporation of the United States and Eastman Chemical Co., Ltd. jointly developed a PET clay nano-nylon 6 blended composite bottle, which has good transparency and high rigidity.

· Graham Packaging Co., Ltd. and the United States BP Co., Ltd. have developed a single-layer PET bottle made by adding Aoxysorb DFC and PET to blend into beer. The shelf life of beer can be greatly extended.
