How to ensure the reliability and safety of the ADAS system has become an important issue in the automotive field. The test of ADAS driving assistance system has also become a hot spot for major automakers and parts manufacturers.
The architecture of ADAS includes sensors such as lidar, camera, GPS, etc., a control ECU that looks down, and a sensor fusion ECU. The role of the ADAS driving assistance system is to fuse and analyze the data of sensors such as radar and cameras with the dynamic parameters of the car itself, so as to let the driver notice possible dangers in advance and effectively increase the driving comfort of the car. And security. For the testing of the ADAS driving assistance system, all that needs to be done is to record these data and then process them to correct the control strategy.
Challenges facing ADAS testing:
Take the Google smart car sketch as an example, it contains 64 beams of lidar, car radar, 2 cameras, 2 infrared cameras, GPS positioning device and other sensors. When testing the ADAS driving assistance system, you first need to record all these data, which brings the following challenges to the test:
1) Fusion of various sensor data, such as images and radar;
2) The amount of collected data is large, up to 4T / day. Fengqiu Technology has done calculations with many OEMs and parts customers. It takes about 4T of data to be recorded and stored in one day. It is difficult for general equipment to record and has high requirements for the time for data storage
3) Synchronization of data collection on different vehicles. When doing some tests, such as ACC follow-up, it needs to be synchronized on 2 vehicles;
4) Vehicle status collection. Such as the acceleration and deceleration of vehicles;
5) High-precision GPS;

In order to solve the above problems faced by ADAS testing, Fengqiu Technology and Germany IPETRONIK jointly launched the following solutions:
1. Germany CAETEC ARCOS recorder: support GPRS, Ethernet, USB, etc. The camera on the car can be directly connected to ARCOS to collect data.
2. For lidar and millimeter wave radar, data can be collected through CAN protocol.
3. High-precision GPS: To calibrate GPS, it has reached an accuracy of 2cm.
4. Traditional data collection: M-sense, M-CNT modules and sensors; data can also be collected on vehicles via buses such as CAN bus, LIN bus, etc.
All data can be stored in the recorder.
Workshop synchronous collection:
Using 2 IPEhubub (WIFI wireless communication module, supporting 2 CAN channels per module); they can be bridged together through WIFI, and the equipment on 2 vehicles can be fused simultaneously.
