Red Lion New Multi-zone Control System

The multi-zone PID (Proportional Integral Derivative) control system introduced by Red Lion Control Systems Manufacturing Corporation is faster to install and more efficient than discrete controllers. The new modular controller can be easily integrated with production control systems PC and PLC (programmable controllers) used in plastics, packaging, chemicals, food processing and other processing industries. It can monitor and maintain pressure, Setpoints required for flow, problems, voltage, and other process variables.

The system consists of a master module and up to 16 individual or dual-ring PID modules. Configuration and calibration work can be performed using the company's Crimson software at no additional cost. The software has a built-in driver, graphical interface, and "direct drag and drop" data mapping, so multi-zone integration can be completed in minutes.

The modular controller series also includes four data acquisition modules with up to eight inputs per module: CSTC8 for thermocouples; CSRTD6 for RTDs; CSINI8 for milliamperes (ammeters); CSNV8 at voltage.

The new CSDIO-digital module provides eight discrete inputs and six outputs for applications requiring input/output and logic functions.
