Quickparts a variety of specialty medical grade polymers come out

ATLANTA, Georgia — Quickparts, a market-leading supplier of rapid prototyping and low-volume traditional production components, announced the launch of a specialty medical grade for selective laser sintering (SLF), fused deposition molding (FDM) and cast urethane molding. material.

The material was applied to special medical applications including Duraform polyamide in the SLS process, PC-ISO in the FDM process, and RC-79D in the cast urethane molding process.

"With the increasing demand from customers in the medical industry, we will continue to provide new materials to meet the requirements of their product development and production," said Patrick Hunter, vice president of sales and marketing at Quickparts.

Duraform polyamide is a nylon-based material that meets USP Class VI. According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, it can also be safely applied to the manufacture, handling, and non-alcoholic food packaging.

PC-SIO is an industrial thermoplastic that satisfies ISO-1099-3 and Class VI. It is widely used in the production of packaging and medical equipment.

The RC-79D is approved for many medical applications including magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) coil housings, and it is a flame retardant polyurethane that meets UL-94 V0 flame retardant standards.
