Flexicon's Flexi 6744 is a new type of strippable lidding material used to complete sealed thermoformed cups in oil and chemically contaminated environments. The composite structure includes polyester and aluminum foils, plus a three-layer coextrusion patent sealant. The composites are used in meat, gravy (oily), sauces, creams/lotions and cosmetics. The Flexi 6744 is designed to accommodate thermoformed cartons and trays containing a layer of DuPont Surlyn ionomer sealant. This combination provides a high-quality, strong, peel-off seal in a heavily contaminated environment.
