Novaled participates in polymer luminescent layer technology development project

Leaders of Polymer Organic Light Emitting Diode (P-OLED) devices, CDT and Sumitomo Chemical, and Novaled, a leader in the production of highly efficient pin organic light emitting diode structures and dopants, signed a cooperation agreement to study the feasibility of new materials and Benefits and the structure of the Novaled PIN OLEDTM in P-OLED devices.

CDT, Sumitomo, and Novaled plan to jointly develop a hybrid OLED device containing a new polymer light emitting layer and an electron doped transport layer. This project is expected to produce hybrid equipment with superior efficacy without increasing production complexity. All parties will reach an agreement on how to generate IP resources in the Cooperation Development Agreement (JDA). In addition, Novaled will issue a license to CDT to facilitate CDT's addition of the required Novaled device IP resources to existing and future licenses. Each company will be responsible for the materials from its own company in this cooperation.

"CDT has always valued its efforts in supporting the P-OLED supply chain and is very pleased to be able to participate in this cooperation and to develop new materials and equipment with superior performance for our licensees." CEO of CDT, David Fyfe talks.

“We are very excited about the cooperation agreement reached on CDT and Novaled's product plan, which will bring us a bright future with new materials and structures. With the support of CDT and Novaled, this area The leading companies will increase the potential for new products that we can provide to the market,” said Kazuhiko Miyata, general manager of new business development at Sumitomo.

“Novaled, which owns the Novaled PIN OLEDTM technology, is a leader in high-efficiency OLED devices and has been widely recognized for the supply of specialty dopants and organic transportation materials.” Gildas Sorin, Novaled CEO, said, “We are very happy to be able to The development of P-OLED devices contributes its own strength and looks forward to the successful cooperation with CDT and Sumitomo Chemical Co. This cooperation agreement is in line with our strategy and can enhance our industry's position in the organic electronics industry. ."
