National tap water testing standard (GB-85)

From July 1, 2007, the "Sanitary Standards for Drinking Water" (hereinafter referred to as "new standards") jointly revised by the National Standards Committee and the Ministry of Health will be officially implemented, and all waterworks will implement stricter testing standards .
The 106 indicators in the new standard are divided into routine inspection items and unconventional inspection items. Among them, 42 routine inspection items must be uniformly verified by all regions; 64 unconventional inspection items, the specific implementation date is determined by the provincial people ’s governments according to the actual situation, but the implementation of all indicators should be no later than July 1, 2012 .

According to the environmental functions and protection goals of surface waters, they are divided into five categories according to the function level:
Category â…  is mainly applicable to source water and national nature reserves;
Type â…¡ is mainly applicable to the first-level protection areas of surface water sources for concentrated domestic drinking water, habitats for rare aquatic organisms, fish and shrimp production grounds, and fishing grounds for juvenile and juvenile fish;
Category â…¢ is mainly applicable to fishery waters and swimming areas such as centralized secondary drinking water surface protection areas, fish and shrimp overwintering grounds, migratory routes, aquaculture areas, etc .;
Category â…£ is mainly applicable to general industrial water areas and recreational water areas with indirect human contact;
Category â…¤ is mainly applicable to agricultural water use areas and general landscapes requiring waters.
Corresponding to the above-mentioned five types of surface water functions, the standard values of the basic items of surface water environmental quality standards are divided into five types, and the different types of functions implement the corresponding standard values. The high standard value of the water area functional category is stricter than the low standard value of the water area functional category. There are multiple types of use in the same water area.
