Canada Successfully Develops New PE Foam

According to overseas media reports, Canadian PXL Crosslinked Foam has recently developed a cross-linked polyethylene foam (PEX). The main application targets are the automotive, medical and footwear markets. According to reports, PXL Corporation uses a batch extrusion process to produce foams that require a heat-curing process, initially producing block products for further processing, and then processing different shapes according to end user specifications. PEX foams are suitable for automotive gaskets, protective covers and acoustic insulation. The company has plans to use it as an alternative to EVA (ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer) foams. PXL's goal is to further expand the application to meet different customer requirements.
