In general, there are two types of PET bottle molding methods: "direct blow molding method" and "extended blow molding method:
Extended blow molding method: This method is to eject the preform with an injection machine, and then the cooled preform is heated by a stretch blow molding machine and stretched in the hollow mold to blow molding. This method is called "two-stage forming method" because it has undergone secondary processing of injection and blowing machines. In addition, this method is called “cold preform method†because it is heated and stretched after the preform is cooled. The processing flow is as follows: PET raw material is dehumidified and dried-> Injection molding machine is used to inject the molten raw material into the mold-> PET preform cooling forming-> Biaxial stretch blow molding is performed by Stretch Blow Molding machine. Note: The so-called "biaxial extension" refers to the longitudinal extension of the extension rod, with high-pressure air for lateral extension.
Direct blow molding method: In this method, the molten preform is injected on the same machine (usually called Injection Stretch Blow Molding) and then blown and molded in the hollow mold. Since preform molding and extension blow molding are performed in the same machine, it is called "one step molding method: One Step." In addition, this method is also referred to as the "hot preform method" when the preform is not yet cooled, that is, it uses the heat retained by it to perform the extended blowing.
Applicability of the two: In general, a method is more suitable for a small amount of multi-standard production, and the second-stage method is suitable for a large number of small-scale production. The company's FT-P series: PET preform injection molding machine is a two-stage forming method.
